It seems like I am back to pondering the question that's been sitting on my mind for the last year or so..
Do I go to university or not?
I was on a work course today where I meet other staff members from other stores and one stood out as we have a common interest.. Journalism.
She is a trained journalist, so we got talking when we was on a short break and I started asking her questions such as did you go to university, is it worth it, blah blah blah and interestingly enough she told me it isn't worth it.
As society is now and the current job market, people don't look at your qualifications, they look at your experience. I knew this before but hearing it from a trained journalist was very interesting because she told me the same thing.
She's come out of university with a very good degree (I expect that she's not long finished uni and has had no luck in getting a job in the industry) and so she's had to resort to getting a job that has nothing to do with what she's trained in.
So yes, I am back to my original question and my thoughts have changed - once again (typical girl stereo-type) and am now wondering whether this gap year will change into going back into full time education or going down the work path, which has always been on my mind and I feel will suit me better.
I have a national diploma in Journalism, is this all I need now to make it to the career that I dream off?
Research has once begun and Google is now my best friend.

University or a job?
So, my dream is to become a journalist in the broadcast side of media, hopefully more into radio. But I'm not coming to the end of my studies of journalism at college and have the decision of going to uni or getting a job in journalism.
Do I really need a degree to become a journalist or just the experience of it?
I love earning money at my part time job, I get a decent amount as I work quite a bit but I just love being independent and affording my own things such as my car and clothes. But then the other side of me wants to experience the life of uni, the social aspects, gaining new skills etc.
BUT I don't want to be in debt :-(
This is such a big decision and I just don't know what I'm going to do.
